Volunteers
Volunteers needed to put up fencing. Buddy, a 25-year-old deaf pony and his good horse friend, Cisco, are no longer wanted by their owners. They were badly neglected until we intervened. A permanent home is available for these longtime friends and they'll never be separated. We need assistance in putting up new fence and repairing existing fence. If you could volunteer a few hours on a weekend, please let us know by calling 812-969-2615.
A few examples of what volunteers have done in the past:
Five cats, three dogs, and a pot-bellied pig were abandoned when the owners moved to Tennessee. All the cats were captured, spayed or neutered, and are now in permanent homes. Two of the dogs have since been adopted, and the pig was transported to Home At Last, an animal sanctuary near Frankfort, Kentucky.
Two adult dogs and five newborn puppies were found neglected and chained without proper shelter in the winter. Volunteers supplied two dog houses and bedding, and provided assistance with food and water.
A hybrid wolf was found to be neglected, being staked to the ground for at least four days in heavy rain, with snow being predicted. Shelter was provided by volunteers.
Volunteers have donated time, money, food, shelter, and other materials for spay/neuter clinics, abandoned, abused, or neglected animals, public education, and so on.
Would YOU be able to volunteer for okSpay? You can! It's easy!
Just call (812) 969-2615 and ask what you can do to help the animals.
